Walkers have access to the South West Coast Path from any of the beaches, and the walk to Carbis Bay Beach (1.5 miles) is a lovely route.

St Ives is the perfect base for exploring this corner of Cornwall. There are many iconic attractions within a short drive from the town. Head south to Lands End (18.5 miles) and take a circular walk via Sennen along the spectacular cliffs and coves. Marazion (9 miles) on the south coast has a gorgeous sandy beach and offers access across the cobbled causeway to St Michael’s Mount. Or stay nearby and look out for the seals at the Godrevy National Trust (10 miles), where you can also admire the lighthouse.
