Property code: OC-CLV2A

Located just outside the bustle of St Ives town centre, but close enough to walk down and wander the shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants, this appealing holiday home has gorgeous views and even a small parking space. It’s ideal for couples or families looking for a Cornish seaside getaway.

An open-plan layout gives the living space of this ground-floor apartment a bright and airy feel. The galley-style kitchen, which has a microwave and dishwasher, makes it easy to cook up tasty meals, and you can enjoy them at the adjacent dining table before strolling across to the lounge. This welcoming space offers lovely views of the sea and, when you can bear to pull down the blind, a TV, DVD, CD player & DAB radio for your entertainment. At bedtime, there’s a double and a twin bedroom, both nicely co-ordinated, sharing a sweet shower room. A slim courtyard with outdoor furniture offers the chance to dry wet suits or have a morning cuppa or evening drink al fresco, and - unusually for St Ives - the property also has an off-road parking space for one small car.

St Ives is one of the UK’s most popular holiday destinations - and for good reason. There’s so much to do in this historic fishing town, from days at one of the five sandy beaches to exploring the cobbled streets and indulging in some retail therapy or enjoying great food and drink. Walkers can stride out on the coast path or inland, while if you prefer to get out on the water you could book a boat trip or learn to surf, kayak or stand-up paddleboard. If you can tear yourself away, why not visit St Michael’s Mount, 9 miles, the Minnack Theatre on the cliffs, 18 miles, or Land’s End, 18.5 miles?

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double, 1 twin, plus 1 2ft 6in folding chair sofa bed in lounge
  • 1 shower room with WC
  • Electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher
  • TV, DVD, CD player, DAB radio, Hi-Fi
  • Mobile signal is variable
  • Enclosed patio with bistro table and chairs, and bench
  • Private parking for 1 small car (approx. 16ft by 6ft with restricted manoeuvrability) - please do not park at the front of the property
  • Beach, pub and shop 0.5 miles
  • Please bring your own beach towels
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00
  • Sorry, no dogs allowed

A really lovely flag. Much bigger than it looked on the photos as there is the kitchen/ living room in the downstairs part of the main house then an annexe with two bedrooms and a bathroom. Lovely views from the window and a good kitchen including good knives and pans, which is such a rarity!

We loved 2a Clodgy View. The apartment was clean, well equipped, had a great view and was close to the town and beach. We did not manage to fit the car in the parking spot, but a weekly pass at the car park across the road was good value.

I was disappointed we couldnt fit the car in the space . We did measure the car before going , but bins and electric boxes made it very difficult , so had to find parking costing 25 pounds

2a Clodgy View is a lovely apartment, that has everything you need for a self-catering stay; not that we cooked much; there are too many nice places to go and eat at in St Ives, but I do still like the option. The view from the living room window is looking out to sea over the top of Porthmeor Beach. The allocated parking spot at the back of the prRead moreoperty is very tight, I only have a small car and I still managed to scratch it on the rusty electric meter box. I ended up using the parking spot at the front of the property and leaving a note on my car in case the spot was needed by no.2. Hide

Very happy with the holiday. Very clean, good location, great view. Only gave a 7 for recommendation as found it really difficult to re-arrange last year and wasn't happy that if you couldn't re-hire the property, we would have had to pay for the holiday anyway. We fortunately we're able to make the holiday in the end.

Loved it but didnt get a 10, because the T.V didnt work. Areal problems and the shower head wouldn't stay in place apart from that we had a great time. Both small problems east to sort out.
